The trendy model and 'it girl' Daisy Lowe was asked to style her favourites from H&M's holiday party collection. She picked out clothes with monochrome patterns and sequined items. The colors black and white are classic and easy to mix. See how she combines clothes and accessories for party and everyday occations this Christmas. The clothes are available in H&M stores and online now.

Get Yves Rocher´s flirty glamour look

This fall, I´ve tested Yves Rocher´s glamorous makeup - styled and presented by the blogger Lene Orvik. The mineral eyeshadow sparkle like diamonds and feels like silk on the skin. You can apply the "Loose pearls eye shadow chrystal" with the soft eye shadow brush. Some strokes with the black "felt-tip eyeliner" gives defined and strong lines who highlight the color of your eyes. I´ve tried them both several times together, and it lasts the whole party and into the night. In the video, you learn how to get the look.

Kolstad´s pantomime adventure

The musician Aksel Kolstad invited to a vernissage and music event on Wednesday 5th Of December at his place Cafe de Concert at Tjuvholmen in Oslo. Photographer Natalia Pipkina (top photo) displayed an adventure of photos with Aksel and the famous ballet dancer Maiko Nishino from the Norwegian Opera & ballet, dressed and made up like “Harlequin and Columbine”. He received a pair of her ballet shoes with her autograph - and he was starstruck!

Bling by Børre for Glitter

The statement jewelry trend is hot like never before. The Norwegian jewelry designer Børre Olsen has launched a limited collection for Glitter. The PR agency Polhem and commercial jewelry chain store invited to a pre-launch at Majorstuen in Oslo on Wednesday 5th of December. The collection was launched in all Glitter stores in Norway the day after.

Selling treasures at Arkaden

The vacant premises at the top floor at Arkaden shopping centre in Oslo was filled with bloggers selling their fashion treats on Saturday 1st of December. Linda Marie Hattmosøy (linda-mari.femelle.no) and Stine Steen (haawt.blogg.no), were selling designer treasures like vintage Dior clutches.

Catwalk hat parade

The imaginative designer students at Esmod Oslo college, displayed their hats at Sainte Catherines Party on Monday 26th of November at Stratos in Oslo. It was almost impossible to choose just a few from 173 photos. ALL hats were amazing and unique!

Esmod hatters: Norwegian nostalgia

The designer student Mika Tollefsrud (third photo from the top) won the hat-making contest at the Sainte Catherine Party at Stratos in Oslo on Monday 26th of November. She wore a birch wood top hat. The assignment was to design a hat after the theme “The Norwegian spirit”.

The Norwegian fashion magazine Costume had an idea of designing a classic collection in very good quality fabrics. One phone call to the designer team at Bik Bok, and a fashion adventure evolved.

Fiat + Gucci launch by Vixen magazine

Thursday 15th of November, guests came to BAR at Tjuvholmen in Oslo to celebrate the fashion car of all times - Fiat 500 by Gucci. The interior design and car model itself is decorated with the legendary red and green stripes. Vixen magazine invited to the exciting release party. Many pictured themselves putting their hands on the steering wheel, the behind on the soft leather car seat and the tires pulling on with warp speed!

Shoe Lounge shopping glamour

Butterflies make a jump in your belly when you enter. On the wall, angels flap their wings. Just beside them are shelves with delicious shoes, clutches, handbags and wallets from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, See by Chloe and Modalu to mention a few. The red wool/merino gloves with smartphone/tablet touch sensors, became my new companions.

Frelse: One year with self care

The organic beauty store ‘Frelse’ (Salvation) in Markveien 51 in Oslo, celebrated its first birthday on Thursday 8th of November. Shop owner and pioner Kristine Blom invited friends and costumers to the cosy store, where you’ll find therapy for your body and soul.

Christmas kick-off with Zuzanna G

Santa has arrived very early to the commercial stores in Norway this year, the 2nd of November to be exact. The Norwegian designer brand Zuzanna G hosted a Christmas kick-off on Thursday 8th of November in her Grunerløkka brandstore in Oslo. In addition to clothes, accessories and jewelry and a great variety of other treasures, she has Santas cutest Christmas decorations. The raindeers are especially adorable!

Unique Edition Event: Color shutter

Colors, drinks, food, music and fashion were fused in euphoria at Nivou nightclub in Oslo on Thursday 8th of November. A new Absolut Vodka Unique Edition was launched, and Ingunn Birkeland´s dancers in patchwork clothes danced at a stage and among the guests. Her IBO accessories and the designed bottles were displayed in glass cabinets.

H&M women SS 2013: Bohemian chic

The new H&M spring will be like a butterfly leaving its cocoon. The clothes are sun-bleached, beacuse they hang outside on a clothesline drinking all the rays of the sun. Leather skirts and jackets, neutral colors with bright elements give the perfect vision of a bohemian woman running barefoot in a flowery meadow. Volume, carvings, drapings and oversized are other important keywords for the SS 2013 collection.

H&M men SS 2013: The modern time traveller

The male explorer loves to wear elements from different time periods. He is fond of the modern suit with colored pattern or in full colors. The clothes are tailored and made of linen, cotton and yarns. Key items are the blazer, basebal cap, baseball jacket, striped sweater, shirt with ethnic or floral print, patterned suit and shorts, tailored “slacks” (pants), spacious t-shirt, bikerjacket and espadrillos.

H&M Home SS 2013: African animal fever

Imagine your home as a piece of the jungle, with zebras and tigers lurking between your dining table and sofa. Patterned cushions, boxes and blankets with bright colors like orange, are combined with earthy tones like brown, black and grey and off white.

The global shoe and accessory brand Aldo has assorted candy among their shelves. Handbags, clutches, pumps, shoes, boots and jewels come in many different patterns and colors this fall.

Aldo hosted a shopping event in collaboration with Costume on Wednesday 7th of November. This lovely bathtub welcomed us by the door. It sure made my imagination go bananas. I pictured myself being the fashion´s Scrooge McDuck - plunging into a pool full of handbags and shoes from all the great designers and clothing chains of this world. Wow, thank you Aldo for making us daydream!

SS 2013: Kaare Lund

The agency Kaare Lund has several known designer brands. Among their new customers is the Danish jewelry designer Maria Black. Her metal and gold bracelets, rings and necklaces are sharp and edgy. Won Hundred also has several stunning pieces in their collection, like the metal blue shoes.

Cheerful Cuvée Edna champagne launch

Edna Falao is the very symbol for leading a cheeful life. With bubbles in her glass and smiling mouth and eyes, she carries the nickname ´champagne queen´with style and humor. She has entertained and served fashionable guests like Brigitte Bardot, Sean Connery and Elisabeth Taylor at her restaurant L´Esquinade in the jetset paradise Saint-Tropez for 40 years. The bubbles flow like blood in her veins, and thus it´s very understandable that she launches her own champagne. Cuvée Edna is lead by the brand Cattier, and is imported by Vinarius here in Norway. The Mulberry store in Oslo is like a tree with treasures. On its far-stretched branches, or shelves as the customers see it, iconic handbags smile to you with neutral, pale and bright colors.

Minimalistic Margiela: H&M designer collaboration

Maison Martin Margiela is known for their unique, minimalistic and draped clothes. On November 15th, the Parisian fashion house launches a tribute collection in collaboration with H&M, displaying the most iconic pieces they´ve designed during the 23 years the fashion house has existed.
On Friday 26th of October, a preview event was held at Grünerløkka in Oslo. Communication manager Vibeke Holann tells about this very different collection:

On Wednesday 26th of September, By Malene Birger in Hegdehaugsveien in Oslo was filled with women seeking key items for this fall. With champagne in one hand and quality fabrics in the other, many went home with a shopping bag full of discounted items. By Malene Birger is an expert of elegance, there´s no doubt.

If you´re looking for trend pieces this fall, you´ll find some of them at the Scandinavian brand store Filippa K. I spotted these clothes at the VIP preview event in their Øvre Slottsgate 11 store in Oslo in September.

Holy Hermès

It was a Saturday in September. My friend Cathrine and I were vintage hunting at flea school markets in Oslo. It became a day I´ll never forget! At the end of the day at Abildsø School, I found a genuine Hermès costume - with a blazer and matching skirt - in perfect shape. The lining is amazing - with the logo printed at red silk. The suit is in 100 percent wool - perfect for fall and winter. I´ll get it assessed at Blomqvist in Oslo.

Vintage Chanel sunglasses

It´s amazing to find real designer treasures in secondhand and vintage stores. I just found this pair of Chanel signature logo 4017 rimless gradient brown and nude sunglasses with a serial number. They´re in perfect shape! The details and quality are stunning, and there are no scrathces on them.

Zuzanna G: Fashion candy night

Zuzanna G is a jewelry brand and fashion retailer in Oslo. At the brand store in Helgesensgate 12-14, you find a variety of a woman´s sweetest fashion urges. The selection of high quality jewels is tremendeous, and the effect of swarovski crystals, gold and silver is dazzling. Not to mention the leather bags, clothes, makeup from BEKK by Linda Wickmann, nail polish from Nailstation, shoes and scarves. Tommy Løland (to the right in the photo) has done the interior design for the store - resulting in a warm and yet exclusive atmosphere.

Sophia Rose and Olina: Fabrics and gemstones

Tanya Ross and Sissel Storhaug Swensen Wenneberg hosted a very pleasant shopping event at Majorstuen on Wednesday 19th of September. Tanya makes bracelets, earrings and rings for the brand Sophia Rose, while Sissel makes children´s clothes for girls and boys.

Anna Dello Russo´s accessory collection for H&M will be launched on October 4th. On Wednesday 19th of September, H&M held a cozy press view, displaying the playful and crazy jewels, sunglasses, clutches and suitcase.

Anna Dello Russo for H&M: Feather fixation

The fashion editors and bloggers all tried on some things from the Anna Dello Russo for H&M collection at the press view in Oslo on Wednesday 19th of September.

Chief editor of Mag, Celine Aagaard, tried on the huge feather head piece - a statement piece that demands attention. What a colorful bird! She got help from stylist Storm Pedersen to adjust the veil correctly for a mini-photoshoot.

Missoni heir at Missoni for Lindex show

You maybe consider me a Missoni “maniac”, and I proudly admit I am - pushing all these lovely photos and videos of their Lindex collaboration collection. On September 11th in Stockholm, a big catwalk show and party was hosted at the Italian embassy. Even the heir Margherita Missoni was there, displaying her unique, colorful style and her happy charisma.

The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York from September 5th to 13th has been an arena for stunnning creations made by wonderful artists. The designs are varied, but they still share some commons features: Bright colors, pastels and shimmering fabrics will continue into next year´s summer.

Flea market season

September and October are two of the best months to make bargains at flea markets in Oslo and other cities in Norway. Don´t be afraid to flip the cardboard boxes upside down and dig for treasures. My most important advice is to be there ten minutes before the market opens. First come, first served - remember that. If it looks and feels fake - it probably is.
