Line of Oslo fortryllet publikum med et snøfylt catwalkshow med isdansende modeller onsdag 8. februar i Samfunssalen. Høst- og vinterkolleksjonen for 2012/2013 heter «Nordic Hope» og symboliserer nordisk frost, håp og snillhet. Dette er en bred stilmiks med hippie, casual, chic og landlig stil. Hun bringer til og med olasnekkerbuksen tilbake i motebildet!
Designer Line Jeanette Varner bruker dyreprint, stjerner, etnisk mønster, striper og tekstprint. Med tekst som «Hope» og «Love me as I am» formidler designeren følgende budskap i etterkant av Oslo-terroren i juli i fjor:
- Vi trenger kanskje litt håp etter det som skjedde. Jeg var så lei meg - vi holde på å avlyse visningen i august, sier hun og fortsetter:
- Vi bør sette pris på livet og gjøre det beste ut av det, i stedet for å krangle. Det er så lett å være snill. Da kommer man langt i livet.
Line er opptatt av kvalitet, og bruker fine materialer som 100 prosent ull og bomull, kashmir, silke, sateng og organisk ull. Fargeskalaen består av svart og hvitt, grått, krem, jeansblå, brunt, neonsrosa og gult.
Kolleksjonen er svært variert med en rekke funksjonelle plagg. Line of Oslo designer for det kommersielle markedet, og klærne passer for kvinner i nesten alle aldre.

Line of Oslo: Kind country chic
Line of Oslo enchanted the audience with a snowy catwalk show with figure skating models Wednesday the 8th of February in Samfunssalen. The AW 2012 collection is named «Nordic Hope» and symbolizes nordic frost, hope and kindness. This is a broad style mix: Hippie, casual, chic and country. She even brings back the dungarees to the fashion image!
Designer Line Jeanette Varner uses animal print, stars, ethnic patterns, stripes and text print. With text like «Hope» and «Love me as I am», the designer communicates the following message in the aftermath or the Oslo terror of July last year:
- We might need some hope after what happened. I was so sad, and we almost called off the show in August, she says and continues:
- We should appreciate life and make the best out of it, in stead of fighting. It´s so easy to be nice. It will take you further in life.
Line is concerned with quality and uses fine materials such as 100 percent wool and cotton, cashmere, silk, satin and organic wool. The color scale consists of black and white, grey, créme, jeansblue, neon pink and yellow.
The collection is very diverse with several functional pieces. Line of Oslo designs for the commercial market, and the clothes are suitable for women of almost all ages.
