HBO gave out 600 free tickets last Sunday, and on Monday 25th of April the premiere show of Game of Thrones episode one of season six was held. Outside, 'fighters' duelled and many wore costumes and sat on the Iron Throne. Before the episode was shown inside the cinema hall, the whole audience participated in a live quiz with Kahoot. The five best were awarded exclusive fan effects. Season six is the first season where the plot is entirely 'off the books'. Kristofer Hivju, known as Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones, showed up with his wife. He was interviewed by Stian Blipp in the cinema auditorium before the episode was shown:
— My daily routine consists of walking around in the mud or to sit inside a black tent that almost blows down and which has a heater that's not working. We (the actors) have become very good at playing Risk on iPad to keep the spirit of fighting going, and sometimes Risk gets a litte more important than filming, Hivju joked.
