Bærekraftig mote er utrolig viktig, og ikke minst avgjørende for vår planets fremtid. Det er bortkastet energi og lite miljøvennlig å forurense unødvendig ved bruk av skadelige produksjonsteknikker og materialer. Jeg synes designerne i Norge også bør sette en standard, som bransjen i Danmark og Sverige har gjort.
Jeg deltar på den internasjonale konferansen Copenhagen Fashion Summit, der over 1000 motebransjefolk, designere, politikere og representanter fra FN vil delta. Danmarks kronprinsesse Mary vil selv åpne konferansen, som vil pågå hele 3. mai. Det er først og fremst foredrag og pressekonferanser som står på agendaen. De avslutter med et stort moteshow, der 15 nordiske designere kjemper om å vinne en designkonkurranse med bærekraftig produksjon.
- Moteindustrien has potensiale til å bli en av innovatørene til å løse klimaforandringene og sosiale problemstillinger globalt. Å samle nøkkelpersoner fra industrien på Copenhagen Fashion Summit er et viktig skritt i riktig retning, sier Rosella Ravagli fra Gucci - som er en av talerne 3. mai.

Sustainable fasion is incredibly important, not to mention crucial for our planet´s future. It´s a waste of energy and unfriendly for the environment to pollute unnecessary by using harmful production techniques and materials. I think the designers in Norway also should set a standard, like the industry in Denmark and Sweden have done.
I participate at the international conference Copenhagen Fashion Summit, where over 1000 fashion industry people, designers, politicians and UN representatives will be. Denamark´s crown princess Mary will open the conference, that will be held the whole day on May 3rd. First and foremost, speeches and press conferences are at the agenda. They will finish with a large fashion show, where 15 Nordic designers are competing to win a contest with sustainable production.
- The fashion industry has the potential to become one of the innovators in solving the climate changes and social issues globally. Gathering key industry players at Copenhagen Fashion Summit is an important step in the right direction, says Rosella Ravagli from Gucci, one of the speakers.
