Artisten Maya Vik presenterer et veldig spennende prosjekt sammen med fotograf Pål Laukli og kunstner og designer Gary Swindell. Tommy Løland står for stylingen. Resultatet er magiske fotografier i stort format, en bok- og vinylutgivelse og Maya Viks solodebutalbum "Château Faux-Coupe". Bildene kan du se i toppetasjen i H&M flaggskipbutikken i Bogstadveien i Oslo.
- Det mest utfordrende var å velge ut 12 bilder. Vi hadde så mange bra opptak, så vi måtte velge vekk bilder. Vi måtte jo ha bilder som representerer musikken, sa Maya på vernissasjen på H&M tirsdag kveld.
På Mayas singel "Get Low" hører du tydelig de syntetiske 80-tallstrommene, som er en maskin kalt Linn LM-1. Maya kler 80-tallslooken som også kommer til uttrykk gjennom de store bildene.
- Ingenting er redigert i Photoshop. Alt er hår, makeup og skygge, sier Maya.
Da er det ingen tvil om at Pål Laukli er en vanvittig god fotograf.
The singer Maya Vik presents a very exciting project together with photographer Pål Laukli and artist and designer Gary Swindell. Tommy Løland has done the styling. The result is magical grand pictures, a book and vinyl release and Maya Vik´s solo debut record "Château Faux-Coupe". You can see the pictures at the top floor of H&M´s flagship store in Bogstadveien in Oslo.
- The most challenging was to choose 12 pictures. We had so many good shoots, so we had to pick away photos. We had to have pictures that represent the music, said Maya on the vernissage at H&M on Tuesday night.
On Maya´s single "Get Low" you clearly hear the synthetic 80´s drums, which actually is a machine called Linn LM-1. Maya suits the 80´s look that is also expressed in the big pictures.
- Nothing is edited in Photoshop. It´s all hair, makeup and shadow, sais Maya.
Then it´s no doubt that Pål Laukli is an insanely good photographer.
